We were caught quite by surprise over the weekend with the widespread reports that the “Economic Downturn” has ended. Our mission has been to provide our readers with a practical guide to navigating these difficult times. The end of the “Downturn” would tend to render that mission, noble as it is, somewhat obsolete. As a result, we are considering the eventual necessity of ‘reinventing’ the blog to a more relevant orientation. Early concept contenders for our revamp are:
- Buy & Hold Long Term Investing – Buy It, Hold It, Repeat
- Real Estate Investment – They’re Not Making Land Anymore
- US Treasury Bonds – 0% Forever Is Still (Almost) Better Than Nothing
We would like to hear from you as to what you would like this Blog to focus on. With that said, we may be blogging somewhat less going forward as the team here find jobs in a Recovery. Naturally, being unemployed we presently have surplus free time to devote to the Blog. If employed, significantly less-so this. Hi…..Yeah, I was just blogging it……Well no I……No……I don’t know what a jobless recovery is but it’s got to be…..Oh, I see your point……No, I agree the deficits could drag….Yeah, you’re probably right about that but……I don’t see what the climate’s got to do….Oh…….Well the stimulus for appliance manufacturers is going to……No, I can’t afford to buy a new fridge but……I’m totally FOR health care man. I could totally use it………….Oh…….You’ve got a point but…..No, I haven’t heard back from any of the positions I’ve applied for. Not even a don’t call us……..Jeez Man, you’re completely bumming me out……Whatever….I gotta go. Wait. Hey, can I borrow ten bucks? I’m not sure when I can pay you back….Ok, thanks.
